You thought you had them all, didn't you? Not many people head up an entire squadron of automechs. Especially Valkyrie class.

*I grab my masamune once again and swing at her legs. She jumps and dodges the blow easily, just as I expect, but my swing wasn't intended to hit her. The blade passes through the base of the rock behind her and it begins to crumble around the base. I prepare myself to block her next attack, but I don't have to. Two of my four remaining Valkyries push the rock toward Toryu's suit, causing the boulders to fall on top of her, pinning her to the ground with multiple tons of pressure.*

You outmached Lord Bhaal. Yes, things get around.. even secret things. I am not so foolish as to attempt to out-do my master. If you can do so well against him, I have no chance.

*I crouch down to look at the face of her suit. I reach out and pull off her mask of death, revealing the normal face of her suit.*

I hope you can get out of there while you still have power. I think I shall make my retreat now.

*I drop her death mask next to her and fly off with the retreat, followed by my Valkyries.*

Well if you'll follow me into here I think we have somethings to give you innovation

Walking deeper into the complex the pair come accross a large room full of parts and some technicians gathering around them

Here we have the parts room. In here we have beam sabre's, engines, joints, chipsets and just about anything you can think of. These guys have been looking at your suit and have some recomendations so I think I'll leave you in their capeable hands for now as I check on my own suit next door

With Lord Bhaal out of the room the group of technicians gather around Shadow with one stepping forwards out of the group

Well it's a quite impressive suit you have there but it is still just a production model. It needs some modifications to make it truly briliant. I was thinking of maybe adding another plate of armour on the back as it seems to be a little thin there. The beam sabre is an old model so needs to be replaced. Some of the joints are old and worn and once they're replaced it will make it a lot more manuverable. Also we can rewire the controll system to make it a lot more effective. I'm sure we could do a few other things to it too. Any ideas yourself?

It is the design schmatic for a new type of beam saber. It emit's a broader beam, comparitivly, like a broadsword of old. And the beam itself is exceptionally powerful. Much like our lord's epyon. But it carries little extra weight than that of a normal beam saber. Meaning it can be handled with one hand. While the other holds a gun or normal saber. The usefulness of these two things together, depends on the skill of the pilot.

Techniccian: Sir, that is practilly the same thing as Lord Bhall's epyon beam saber. It just uses a different energy core.

Shadow: Oh...I see. Well, Since putting a second core in may be dangerous, I would like this saber built. And if the epyon has any differences that could improve this, do your best to work them in.

Tech: Yes sir.

Well it looks like we found something interesting on there. This thing has been set to trigger the self destruct mechanism on your mecha by remote controll. My guess is that Miss Toryu must have had it installed should she ever need it. Evidentally she never trusted you too far.

Dropping the box into Shadows hands he gets back to work. A few minutes later another one of the technicians comes out of the piles of junk to speak with Shadow

Well it looks like we've got your power problem sorted. We've got another large Metatron core although it was designed for a space shuttle I think we can sort it out so that it can go in there somewhere

Walking back off the technician finds one of the magnetic lifts and begins to take the core out of the pile

Eh, he appears to have already retreated like most of the higher ups. They've just left behind their more expendible dolls to keep the rebels busy while we recoup, I imagine. There was a defection other than Kayl today. One of theirs joined us. An abomination, no less. He was the pilot of my old commander's suit which the rebels had pilfered.. Lord Bhaal seemed very buddy-ish with him. I'm hoping it's only to encourage more defection from their side.

I already don't like this guy. I'm sure you couldn't tell.

In any case, I suggest we get back. The tail end of our retreat is already taking place. And the sooner we get back, the sooner we can get some rest, get repairs, and come take our city back. I'll see you there.

Well as for our plan it's very simple. The Rebels have given up a functioning millitary base for a town and so have very limited weapons and repair facilities there. Also the battle has gained us a lot of time to do what we need. Although the millitary was disbanded since most of that army was made up of robts they were just put into storage and now given a few days we've had enough time to go into the bunkers, dust them off and set them up ready for battle. In the space of a few days the planetary forces have gone from a tens of thousands to close to ten million. All we need to do now is send in one of the squads and crush them with sheer weight of numbers. Time has run out for Toryu and her friends.

Well I think we should have him. He wil certainly have many uses and not just ones that he will be aware of. His skills are good but untrained to what they could be but he could prove a useful asset in the battlefield should the need arise. Also with him defecting to our side this will show that even those who fight against me can see the light and realise the wrongs of their ways and that I am ready to accept those that do. Hopefully this should encourage more defections and unrest in the rebel ranks.

Cunning sir. Well now that he has been sorted we need to work out a plan of battle for when we assault Nashkell

Battle? This won't be a battle. It will be a massacre. A few hundred troops remaining against the might of one hundred thousand. They will have no chance to even begin to fight back properly.

Not a bad mission for you Counsellor.. but losing 8 Valks right at the end there makes it a bust for me.

With the two of them turning the screen back on it shows the servailance tape from the repair bay in the millitary base several hours earlier

I'm not really that bothered by it. You can let Reiche keep it as a momento if he wants. Needless to say though I want Kayl hunted down and killed at the first opportunity during the next battle and I think those two will be the perfect men for the job. We canot allow traitors to leave alive. For now though I think that I shall get some rest and then in the morning I shall rejoin the troops and then hopefully in the late afternoon the 5th armoured division should be joining us.

*Nemesis closes his eyes and grimaces*
